Interstate Restoration is a national emergency response restoration and general contractor specializing in the return of compromised property to their pre-loss condition. We work with our clients to restore their properties. Our team restores commercial, multifamily, hospitality, educational properties from water damages, flood, fire, smoke and natural disasters.

This position provides regional leadership in safety, DOT regulatory compliance, and ensure the organization is in compliance with all Federal and State regulatory agencies. This position will develop and implement site specific safety and quality processes and procedures.

The Regional Safety Manager duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Review Safety and Internal Quality Audits
  • DOT regulation compliance and Auditing
  • Perform or schedule Quality and Safety training
  • Accident / Incident investigations
  • Review new employee orientation
  • Ensure maintenance of regulatory paperwork
  • Jobsite auditing/JSA-JHA development
  • Assist Co-Workers in the performance of their assigned work; participate in group discussions such as job briefings
  • Understand and follow company and industry safety rules, practices, and procedures; wear prescribed safety apparel; take appropriate action when conditions threaten safety of self or coworkers

Technical Qualifications:

The successful candidate must be able to perform and/or have an understanding of the following:

  • Understand OSHA 1926 Guide
  • Understand OSHA 1910 Guide
  • Oil and Gas Regulations
  • Hazardous Material Management
  • Understand basic first aid
  • DOT Regulations/ Inspections
  • EPA Asbestos Regulations
  • Strong skillset with Excel, Word, and other Microsoft Office tools
  • Must be able to read and understand posted bulletins, regulations, rule books, manufacturer manuals, and work instructions
  • Must be able to accurately transcribe numbers, letters, or words on to forms, such as supply requisitions and inspection reports

  • Must be proactive
  • Must possess a sense of urgency


  • Candidate must possess supervisory experience
  • 2 years of DOT Regulatory Compliance experience
  • 5 years of Safety leadership experience


  • Experience in the drying and restoration / construction industry, a plus

Work Requirements:

  • Must be able to exert physical strength sufficient to lift/carry and push/pull objects weighing up to 75 lbs
  • Some assignments may be performed out of doors involving exposure to all weather conditions (infrequently); must be able to climb and work at elevations more than 12 feet above ground level (infrequently); exposure to noise at levels requiring ear protection
  • Must be willing to work shift assignments which may include variable shifts with weekends or holidays
