The Regional Private Banking Manager (RPBM) is responsible for driving revenue and profitable growth through new business development and client retention for the Private Banking segment within the assigned region. The RPBM directly manages all Private Bankers for the market, controls the P&L and is responsible for achieving profitability through growth of loans, deposits, portfolio management and wealth management solutions targeted to High Net Worth (HNW) clients. This role provides strategic sales leadership to assigned team, establishes and maintains exceptional client services and sales management processes. The RPBM will establish and maintain relationships with internal and external partners and actively represent the Bank in the community and professional organizations.
Sales & Relationship Management: Drive new client acquisition, profitable expansion of the Private Banker portfolio and retention of relationships by focusing on quality of client experience, consistency of service and delivery of robust relationship management. Achieves client acquisition, retention and sales targets through active coaching, sales accountability management, overseeing prospect development plans / pipelines and direct calling in partnership with Private Bankers. Partners with the Wealth Regional Managing Director and the Bank's Regional Executive to create targeted plans to achieve Bank and Wealth goals.
Community Involvement: Identifies strategic market opportunities and develops relationships to drive client acquisition and sales. Develops Wealth, Bank and personal brand awareness through active community involvement.
Client Experience: Drives the client experience in partnership with other Wealth leaders. Leads direct and indirect WM and Bank workforce to achieve sales and service objectives of the region.
Talent Acquisition, Development & Engagement: Attract, retain and engage top talent to drive the high net worth strategies. Maintain an active recruiting pipeline. Oversee the continual skill development and educational opportunities of the team. Foster and maintain a collaborative and respectful workplace. Manage to set Private Banker goals and address performance gaps.
Financial Management: Deliver top line revenue and bottom line profitability by ensuring proper client acquisition, retention, portfolio management and expense control management.
Risk Management: Maintain appropriate risk management and operational controls within team. Ensure compliance with Bank policies / guidelines and regulatory requirements.
Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 14 years experience in financial services relationship management (business/commercial banking, private banking or wealth management) including prior sales leadership experience.
Must complete federal registration and annual renewal as required by the SAFE Act.
Must possess a valid driver's license. Position requires frequent driving to other offices, bank customers, etc. Bank car not provided.
Possess valid Series 7, 63, 65/66, & 9/10 licenses.
Sales and relationship management experience.
Effective leader who can work collaboratively with executive management and line leadership across the Bank.
Possess knowledge of high net worth market place and products.
Sound operational and risk management knowledge.
Excellent financial acumen and strong analytical abilities.
