My newest client happens to be a family owned, growing organization celebrating their 50th anniversary this year.
They are located in a small rural location located at the base of the Blue Mountains.
This is a new position being created in order to expand the operational oversight of this organizations laboratory operations.
This position will be closely connected to the senior management team and will have the ability to make a significant impact to overall corporate success.
Responsible for all elements of the clinical laboratory operations process flow, including Courier, Mail/Materials distribution, Specimen Collection, Specimen Processing, Patient Receiving and Patient Registration.
Responsible for the oversight and management of all operational activities in given regional area, including patient service centers, specimen processing and specimen collection.
Develop and oversee procedures for dealing with troubleshooting and problem solving in all areas of laboratory operations process flow.
Develop and modify procedures as needed.
Establish and monitor programs/protocol/procedures, to ensure the accuracy of patient registration, specimen collections and processing.
Understand and adhere to HIPAA policies, procedures and regulations to assure patient confidentiality.
Administrative duties including excellent customer service to all patients, clients and employees.
Answer phones in a timely manner following company standards on proper phone etiquette.
Responsible for all operational activities in the patient receiving, collection and processing areas.
Responsible for corporate compliance/quality improvement in the specimen collection and specimen handling area of the laboratory.
Continual improvements in all areas of responsibility through the ongoing use of IQ tools.
Direct/manage operations in a manner that facilitates/supports sales in the area.
Maintain organizations corporate culture at all facilities.
Maintain compliance with all corporate policies, protocols and procedures at site.
*7-10 years progressive experience in a clinical laboratory setting. *Leadership experience required.
*Bachelor's degree preferred, high school graduate or equivalent required.
*Good communication skills.
*Accurate and detail oriented.
*Good organizational skills.
*Experience with management of staff.
*Ability to manage work load and delegate.
