Sales Management- select, train, organize and develop a regional team that can meet growth and profit plans

Business Plan - ensure the annual development and implementation of a regional business plan to meet business unit business objectives

Budget Development - develop and implement budget process and manage controllable expenses to


Develop Distribution - identify by criteria top distribution; sell and service Distributors, and direct accounts

Underdeveloped Market Segments - support and develop commercial coatings, business development, and cross-SBU opportunities to support growth and profit objectives

Program Support - develop personnel to sell value added services to increase product sales and promote customer loyalty

Policy Compliance - Ensure all business activities conform to PPG's business conduct, quality, EH&S and EEO policies to preserve PPG's image and ethical standards.


  • Minimum 8 years combination of General Sales and Sales Management experience (ideally including major account and or influencer sales).
  • Experience in sales related 'knowledge management' programs and contract management.
  • Thorough understanding of secondary distribution channels. Ideally, knowledge and understanding of Refinish marketplace.
  • Degree level education preferred.
  • Excellent PC skills, written and verbal communication skills and ability to think conceptually.
  • Strong change orientation combined with ability to see ideas through to action.
  • Ability to work in a complex, cross-functional environment requiring strong team working and leadership ability.
  • 40-50% travel across Central Canada
