Position Overview     

    Responsible for assessing market needs and trends to identify new opportunities for tire and rubber in the Americas and developing detailed marketing plans
    Develop, communicate and execute market segment strategies and marketing plans in alignment with global marketing plans. Engage and align with the sales team, the R&D team, and other support functions needed to achieve the strategy and its goals
    Introduce and champion new products and new value propositions to the market that will grow the Tire segment
    Organize and institutionalize existing tire market knowledge and develop platform for accessing it, maintaining and updating the content as needed
    Accountable to help build relationships with key influencers and decision makers within tire companies, and to assemble messages, working with Marketing Communications, that help strategic sales efforts

Job Responsibilities     

    Identify  growth  opportunities  within  the  territory  with  both  new  and  existing  customers, and develop new value propositions. Partner with the Technology teams on new products development to address the market needs
    Monitor that all new customer testing and adoption of existing and new products, and market program targets, are up to date and smoothly tracking in salesforce.com
    Prepare and keep evergreen job charts of each key account, and help cultivate relationships with key decision makers
    Prepare and present sales and account reports, and their performance versus budgets utilizing Momentive systems such as salesforce.com, Zemeter and BW financial reports
    Assist in development of internal presentations for quarterly and monthly requirements
    Help close  business  with  new  and  existing  customers and develop and drive plans and programs  to  meet  required  operating  plan  for  territory  for  sales  volume, revenue and EBITDA
    Write marketing plans for newly developing segments e.g. functionalized polymers, and truck tire
    Assist in the development and implementation of a process to optimize technology resources versus market job-to-be-done needs, and generation of monthly/quarterly depictions
    Contribute to strategic planning in areas like licensing, sourcing, production process development, cost improvement efforts
    Analyze and update the passenger tire segment size, growth, competitive situation, market dynamics, and assist in/lead the EXM effort to develop strategic marketing plans
    Monitor and present product cost information on a regular basis
    Provide and maintain technical data information to support business projects and support NPI developments
    Organize, manage and make accessible our tire market knowledge (like historic data or competitor data)
    Assists with Global projects as needed
     

Minimum Qualifications     

    Successful candidates will possess a technical degree in Chemistry or Engineering. And MBA is preferable
    5 years of marketing experience in the tire, rubber or related transportation industry
    Demonstrated  project  management  skills  with  history  of  completing  high  quality  work  meeting  deadlines
    Excellent analytical skills
    Ability to work well independently
    Speaks and reads English
    Proficient with Microsoft office
    Good communicator as will be expected to present to customers and at Momentive internal meetings
    Good interpersonal skills
    Experience working cross functionally
    Able to express complicated concepts in a concise manner to support our NPI introductions, present at customer meetings and communicate at all customer levels
    An excellent team player
    Demonstrated ability to gather and organize information in challenging circumstances
    High level of creativity, out of the box thinker

Preferred Qualifications     

    5 years marketing and/or commercial sales experience in the tire industry, with an understanding of the tire silanes market and competitive environment
    Ability to speak and understand German, French, Chinese, Japanese, Korean would be an advantage

Education Requirements     Technical degree in Chemistry or Engineering. An MBA is preferable
