The Marketing Manager, LATAM will interface closely with the Marketing leadership team at HQ to develop high-level, cohesive strategic plans that align GoPro products, technology, and platforms with our priority markets in LATAM. This position will deliver key brand messages, maximize deliverables through cross-departmental collaboration, and drive brand awareness of the GoPro ecosystem.

  • Drive and own regional marketing business planning in line with GoPro’s global marketing strategy.
  • Build country level Go-To-Market strategies for key markets in LATAM in collaboration with global marketing departments as well as with channel marketing and sales teams.
  • Lead development and localization of GoPro’s brand to adapt and relate to the region’s interest.
  • Lead, direct, educate and oversee distributor marketing and retail strategies to execution.
  • Develop all major retail marketing programs including strategy, branding, funding and executable elements in LATAM, keeping in-line with overall global-wide scope.
  • Drive channel growth by aligning objectives and strategies with sales team, distributors and retailers.
  • Work mutually with the media relations team to build specific PR strategy for priority markets in LATAM using local insight.
  • Work mutually with the global and local social media teams in generating relevant content from the regions through realized marketing activities and ensure local/regional relevance of GoPro’s social handles in LATAM.
  • Define (plan, coordinate and execute) national/ regional events & tradeshows across all relevant GoPro verticals.
  • Implement product-seeding strategy to maintain and build relations with athletes, opinion leaders, ambassadors, professionals and brand partners within the local market.
  • Manage the development and execution of product launches on a regional level.
  • Monitor and control brand/CI in the local markets.
  • Extensive travel - approximately 40%

Skills We’re Stoked About

  • BS required, MBA is a plus
  • 7+ years of experience working for a lifestyle/sports brand or first-class consumer electronic brand
  • Fluent in English and Spanish (fluency in Portuguese is a plus)
  • Ability to prioritize work, highly motivated with a focus on execution, and accountability for projects and goals
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and a self-starter mentality
  • A strong willingness to roll up your sleeves and wear several hats all in the name of building a business
  • Ability to solve complex problems, rather than highlight them
  • Knowledge and experience in contract negotiations
  • Strong understanding of the GoPro culture and connection to the brand (i.e. avid camera user, loves to travel, sports enthusiast, etc.)
  • Experience in developing and managing teams in a complex organizational structure
  • Ability to work in cross-functional teams
