SUMMARY
Under general direction, supervises the daily operations of assigned imaging modality across multiple sites within Atrius Health to assure the delivery of the highest quality of images for a specific modality. Monitors the continuity of operational systems, procedures and service standards and provides management assistance as needed. Performs duties in a cost-effective manner and assures that an exemplary level of service excellence is provided to patients, radiologists and referring clinicians. Assure that state and federal regulatory agencies requirements are met as well as Atrius Policies and Procedures. Responsible for a large group of staff (25-50), managed directly or through subordinate supervisors.
Bachelor’s degree in healthcare science or business (or equivalent education, training or experience) required. Masters degree preferred. Must be certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS). Must hold an active license in Massachusetts (as applicable). Minimum of an Associate’s Degree in an appropriate health care field.
Must have BLS Certification.
A minimum of 7-10 years of experience as an imaging technologist with at least 3 years of lead or technical supervisory experience in the imaging environment.
SKILLS
Must have demonstrated ability to provide leadership and mentoring to a diverse group of people, as well as proven ability to function as a strong team member. Excellent technical skills needed. Strong analytical, problem resolution and business judgment skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Strong knowledge of Imaging IT applications (e.g. PACS, RIS, etc.). Must be proficient with Excel and Word Software Programs. Must be able to multi task and work in a matrix organizational structure.
