We are looking for an outstanding Client Solutions and Success Lead that will join our fast-paced, high impact Ad Sales Team. You will be responsible for managing a team of Client Solutions and Success Partners, and people managers in the region, overseeing efforts within the region to support the full sales cycle from pre-sales to campaign execution to post-sale. This role includes strategic planning, campaign brainstorming, expert product knowledge, consultative selling, sales support expertise and the ability to drive revenue. You must have experience within sales planning, client services, account management or a similar sales support function. You must be professional, organized and motivated as well as have the drive to succeed in a dynamic, fast-moving environment. Above all, your work will impact the way the world experiences music.

What you'll do:

  • Directly manage a team of Client Solutions and Success Partners with pre- and post-sales responsibilities within your region to support and drive revenue in accordance with Spotify's sales strategy
  • Be an expert on all responsibilities, processes and tools of the Client Solutions and Success roles to problem-solve, serve as a point of escalation and provide solutions for the regional team
  • Be a face of the organization as a demonstrated role model and leader advocating the Spotify sales strategy and Client Solutions and Success team
  • Assess staffing needs including interviewing, hiring and onboarding talent, as well as resolving workload, bandwidth, and resourcing issues for individuals on your team
  • Identify and participate in training needs for the team inclusive of role-specific, soft-skills, procedural and developmental
  • Develop and enhance managerial skills through goal setting and skill building to elevate performance management and foster career pathing of your team
  • Conduct weekly 1:1s while also collecting bi-annual 360 feedback from peers to drive ongoing professional development with each member of your team
  • Serve as an escalation and approval point for your team and channel feedback and client needs to the Head of Client Solutions and Success and relevant cross-functional leads teams
  • Align with cross functional team leads to provide clients and sales team with necessary yield requirements, inventory trends, campaign insights and execution best practices
  • Conduct regular status meetings with cross-functional team leads to establish escalation, exception and approvals processes, product and process workflows, collateral development and relevant team trainings to run the business at a regional level
  • Collaborate with sales on regional key accounts needs, i.e.: QBRs, events, high profile campaigns and upfront pitches
  • Partner with regional sales leads and market teams in account planning exercises; including the quarterly bottoms up process and upfront negotiations to evaluate client business needs to drive revenue, while meeting internal procedural requirements
  • Provide guidance that strengthens team behaviors to bolster retention of key regional accounts while delivering tailored solutions that drive upsell & renewal
  • Have excellent knowledge of the programmatic landscape and experience executing PMP/PG campaigns, to the extent that you can coach your team to drive incremental revenue and troubleshoot deal issues; ability to collaborate with the Programmatic Leads team is crucial
  • Review and approve time off requests, expenses, coverage support, and other administrative tasks for each individual on your team
  • Report to Head of Client Solutions and Success, Americas

Who you are:

  • You have a Bachelor's degree, preferably in Sales, Advertising, Marketing, or Business
  • You have 4+ years of people management experience, with a focus on development and cultivating a strong team-focused environment
  • Seasoned sales support professional with 6+ years of experience managing digital campaigns, with a high degree of independence and passion for the digital landscape
  • You are comfortable being in a leadership position and providing constructive guidance and feedback in a professional manner while maintaining confidentiality and trust
  • You are a passionate, accountable, creative, and team-focused individual that exemplifies the values and responsibilities of the Spotify sales strategy
  • You are revenue focused, with a track record of business retention and growth within a consultative sales model
  • Proven ability to understand macro and micro needs of client's business and goals to lead a team to drive revenue
  • You are detail oriented and find solutions for clients while optimizing and improving internal processes for the larger sales organization
  • You have a reputation being a superstar sales support individual that provides world class customer service while maintaining a cool, calm and collected demeanor
  • You have the ability to gracefully translate client requests to operational, compliance and finance teams
  • You understand the bigger picture of sales cycles, and consultatively plan for the future
  • You hold strong relationships with internal and external partner teams
  • You have exceptional verbal and written communication skills while being an effective listener and transparent communicator

  • You have experience working within CRMs, Order Management Systems, ad servers and other digital media tech systems, and are experienced in tools like excel and powerpoint
