Position Summary:

The Regional IT Manager’s primary focus will be on the day-to-day operation and management of computer networks including hardware/software support, training, and special projects for their assigned regional facilities. Assist in coordinating special projects including hardware/software purchases, and system installation, backup, maintenance and problem solving. Maintain documentation including hardware/software applications, support logs and other related information. Analyzes and troubleshoots the network logs and tracks the nature and resolution of problems. Monitors usage to ensure security of data and access privileges; installs, supports and maintains both physical and virtual network servers and appliances; maintain and troubleshoots the Storage Area Network (SAN).  Develops, maintains and implements network administration support, and archiving procedures; researches and evaluates new technologies related to computer network administration

 

Primary Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

 

  • Oversee a small team of local IT resources to ensure day-to-day operation of SGS regional locations
  • Administer, install, upgrade and support assigned region IT systems and their operational components such as hardware, software and configuration insuring best operational and technical practices and following procedures within the corporate IT team.
  • Provide IT infrastructuresupport to assigned SGS regional locations.
  • Travel as needed to other SGS locations.
  • Maintain and monitor the servers at assigned regional data centers.
  • Assist in maintaining DNS, DHCP, NLB, IIS and other functions of the network, servers and workstations.
  • Assist and backup EI Service Desk staff in addressing and prioritizing tickets. Address issues that are made by users and/or assigned.  
  • Assist in maintaining documentation relating to network operations, job functions and IT systems. Assist in administering such documentation on IT SharePoint sites. 
  • Oversee the backup solutions at assign regional locations
  • Ensure system health monitoring is in place and proper escalation paths are in place with EI

Experience

Required

10 years:• Minimum of 10 years as an I.T. support professional • Experience in Active Directory 2003\2008\2012. • Experienced in both Apple Macintosh and Windows Server platforms. • Ability to troubleshoot DNS as well as TCIP issues • Experience with VMWare ESX • Experience with SAN solutions (EMC Clarion CX\AX solutions, Dell Compellent) • Experience with Fabric switching and zoning • Experience in enterprise software licensing provisioning preferred.
