JOB SUMMARY:

Manages HR Business Partner Services for a geographical territory for the bank. Provides proactive leadership by partnering with clients on company initiatives including employment related matters and legal cases, investigations, performance and talent management and special projects.  Experience in conducting investigations and project management will be critical.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Creates strong businesspartnerships with managers serving as a strategic advisor forassociate relations issues; analyzesHR metrics for assigned areas to identify trends in turnover, hiring,promotions, separations and grievances to determine appropriate actionFacilitates and mitigatesrisk during the corrective action and termination processServes as arisk manager regarding employee issues; encourages an environment that promotesretention and consistent application of company policiesAdministers human resources policies to meet organizational needs and comply with state and federallawsCoordinatesEEOC responses and litigation documentation; serves as a liaison with outside legal counsel; conductsinvestigations as neededProvides guidelines and oversees management of human resources activities with managers and supervisors in areas such as performance review, employee relations, employee development and talent management

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Directly supervises one to three employees in the HR Business Partner Services Department and carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Minimum Required Education, Experience, Licenses And Certifications

MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & KNOWLEDGE:

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field; minimum eight years related HR experience and/or training; ten + years including previous management experience, preferred.  Human Resources experience in the banking industry and PHR/SPHR certification preferred.

ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL & MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle or feel such as using a computer mouse or writing and talk or hear in person or on the telephone with other employees, supervisors and in some cases the general public and board of directors. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision. Work Environment The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
