Job Description     Regional Head of Product Line Electronics

Continental is seeking a Regional Product Line Head in our Engine Systems Business Unit. This position will report directly to the Head of the Product Line globally and have responsibility for leading and representing Product Line (PL) Electronics in Business Unit Engine Systems in the Powertrain Division for the Region. This incumbent is accountable for its business (profitability and overall performance). Annual sales in 2018: 562 million Euro with projected growth of 703 million Euro in 2022.

Core Responsibilities:
• Establishing and keeping customer contact to support acquisition and allow adequate escalation
• Supporting Customer Centers during acquisition and define the lowest possible offering
• Deciding on quote/no quote in line with Customer Center strategy and Product Line strategy
• Ensuring sustainability for the business in the region
• Leading Project Managers in the region including remote locations
• Ensuring the use of standard tools and processes in Project Management
• Overall responsible to meet the targets for the development projects in the region (R&D cost, BOM cost, Quality, Timing)
• Responsible for the product cost optimization activities in the region for the Product Line

Additional Responsibilities:
• Ensuring serial support for products produced in and outside of the region
• Ensuring the overall profitability of the products in serial production
• Leading the Focus Factory Managers in the region
• Following operational performance of the plants producing for the Product Line and ensure that targets are met
• Reviewing budgets and investment for the PL Electronics Focus Factories
• Promote and foster a learning organization by focusing on employee development
Job Requirements     Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree is required
• Minimum of 15 years of professional experience with at least 5 years within the automotive industry
• Proven leadership and performance execution, including a minimum of 3 years of experience directly managing people
• Experience in at least 2 of the following functional areas (engineering, sales, and/or project management)
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in Project Management

Broad Business Experience Required:
• Minimum of 2 years required in one of the following:
• Cross Functional Move
• Cross Organizational Move
• International Experience

Preferred Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering or similar
• Project Management Certification
