We are searching for a seasoned and talented Regional Director of Sales with strong technical skills and the passion to engage and work with customers to solve manufacturing challenges. Our client is a successful, privately held organization with the determination, capabilities and capacity to grow. We seek a leader for the organization?s sales effort in the region. The company has very well developed capabilities to provide B2B precision machining, fabrication and assembly to the aerospace, medical device and industrial markets. We seek a seasoned professional to grow with the organization. This is a newly created position.


The candidate we seek is an experienced, high energy, strategic leader, with strong business acumen and a foundation of technical competence. The CEO is adding this position to provide for strategic growth.  This position will report directly to the CEO. We seek a problem solver adept and comfortable working with engineering and production leaders to partner in creating effective solutions. Our candidate will be described as a solution provider working closely with the client well after the sale.


While we include the word ?sales? in the title as the revenue is important, the word ?relationship builder / problem solver? are words that would also fit this title.  


The growth strategy requires the addition of a talented, experienced sales leader with an entrepreneurial spirit.

This business is privately held with a track record of success and stability. Sales and financial performance are stable with the infrastructure foundation in place to support growth. The owner has recognized the need for the addition of a talented, skilled Regional Director of Sales to expand the geographic reach of the organization. This professional sales leader is a key strategic addition to the team. This leader will be responsible for collaboratively developing the sales strategy in the target region, building effective customer relationships and developing customer solutions needed for long term revenue growth.


The organization has deep capabilities for precision machining, fabrication and assembly with the quality certifications and skilled team needed to be competitive in these industries.  The company can provide solutions in each of these areas or they can provide a solution combining all of the capabilities with a finished product.

Candidate Profile:

The successful candidate will have completed a BS / BA degree program. He / she will be an accomplished sales leader with relevant sales and business development experience in one of our target markets, aerospace, medical device or industrial. They must have well developed competencies required for success in this position including the ability to work closely with engineers. Our candidate will have demonstrated success building relationships and providing solutions. We seek an exceptional sales person with the ability to build effective, trusting relationships with customers. The candidate must have demonstrated the ability to grow sales by helping customer solve manufacturing problems and build effective customer relationships.   


The ideal candidate for this position will have had at least 7years of Sales and Business Development experience. Our candidate will have experience using networks and data to successfully develop and implement strategy that includes solution selling and experience building effective relationships. The successful candidate will have established relationships in one or more of the clients target industries.


The successful candidate will be business savvy, having strong financial acumen ? with the ability to see cause and effect between tactics and financial outcome. 


The successful candidate will have a ?systems /process driven? results-oriented style. They will be described as a passionate and dynamic leader with the energy and communication skills to work effectively across the organization.


They must grow long term relationships with key strategic clients and sell the value at each level of the client organization. They will have strong critical thinking skills. 

A high level of personal skills is required to understand customer needs and to make persuasive presentations to effectively communicate with people from all segments of the customer organization. They will have the ability to simplify complex issues. 

This candidate will have highest standard of unquestioned professional conduct and act continuously to model integrity and credibility as they represent the company in the market. 


Our candidate should have experience planning, attending and maximizing trade show participation. Candidates must be able to travel. Our preferred candidate will have developed contacts and relationships in at least one the target industries.



Undergraduatedegree with an advanced business degreepreferred. Knowledge and understanding of print reading, machining, fabrication and assembly is required.


Skills /Abilities:

The successful candidate will have strong computer literacy with proficient use of MS Office Suite. They should have effective use of CRM software including data analysis. This positon requires domestic, overnight travel.



This position will be based in the candidate?s home office with occasional travel to the organization?s headquarters / manufacturing site.
