Major Areas of Responsibilities:

Employment Summary: Manage, mentor and support a team of Account Managers, lead company projects, work with Sales and Operations to carry the brand throughout, assist in systemic Account Management delivery and manage a group of assigned accounts to ensure quality service, maximum account expansion/penetration, retention and profitability.  

 Responsibilities:

  • Support, coach and mentor, providing oversight and direction to Account Management Team

  • Plan, evaluate, and improve the efficiency of business processes and procedures to enhance speed, quality, efficiency, and output.

  • Make business decisions that are financially responsible, accountable, justifiable, and in accordance with organization policies and procedures.

  • Foster a spirit of teamwork and unity among department members and other departments

  • Differentiate ALTOUR program value

  • Develop in-depth understanding of accounts assigned to staff

  • Influence client decisions and build relationships for success

  • Cross-sell ALTOUR products and services

  • Develop in-depth understanding of the business travel market

  • Assist in negotiating profitable contracts and implementation of industry partnerships

  • Project manage initiatives and changes as needed

  • Develop and maintain effective client relationships at the decision-maker level in order to maximize revenue from all ALTOUR products and services.

  • Develop and execute customer service call plans and account reviews.

  • Provide proactive, consultative service and state-of-the-art product enhancements to accounts.

  • Negotiate preferred vendor programs for corporate clients including air, car, hotel, and credit card, etc.

  • Present client reviews to ensure that ALTOUR Value Statement is understood.

  • Consult with clients on travel management practices such as travel policy, best practices, traveler safety, benchmarking, visa requirements, VAT reclamations, etc.

  • Communicate progress and status of activity to management.

  • Provide data analysis and consultation for optimal cost savings travel programs

  • Regular and dependable attendance and punctuality is required.

  • Manage and report on service level agreement and scorecard of overall partnership program.

  • Lead regular team and one-on-one meetings with staff

  • Create and/or edit client communication needs for agency and industry informing purposes.

  • Works with Senior Management to develop account strategy and manage relationships at a strategic level

  • Performs other duties as requested.

     Knowledge and Skill Required:

  • Knowledge and experience in business, supervision, and management.

  • Knowledge of the functions, operation and mission of the specific department.

  • Better than average written and spoken communication skills.

  • Outstanding interpersonal relationship building and employee coaching and development skills.

  • Management experience in a team-oriented workplace, preferred.

  • Demonstrated ability to serve as a knowledgeable resource to the organization's management team that provides leadership and direction.

  • Excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment. Must include knowledge of Excel and skills in Access.

  • General knowledge of various employment laws and practices and employee relations.

  • Evidence of the ability to practice a high level of confidentiality.

  • Excellent organizational management skills.

  • Thorough knowledge of ALTOUR corporate products and services.

  • Working knowledge of the travel industry and competitive business travel issues.

  • Organizational skills to effectively coordinate the variety of tasks involved throughout the evolution of a corporate account.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and negotiation skills to work effectively with corporate clients, sales management, information technology and client services staff.

  • Time management skills, computer skills with Microsoft office products.

  • Experience with various industry technologies such as GDS, Back-office, travel management reporting tools, CRM tool, online booking tools, mobile apps and others that apply.

     Physical Requirements:

  • Sedentary work. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/ or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push or otherwise move objects. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time.

  • Job requires employee to sit for extended periods of time without being able to leave the work area.

  • Repetitive motion, substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/ or fingers.

  • Typing or otherwise working primarily with fingers.

  • Must be able to comprehend instructions, interpret documents, and apply abstract principles to a wide range of complex tasks.

  • Ability to understand the meanings of words and effectively respond, analyze information and write reports, and comprehend complex issues and communicate effectively to diverse groups. 

  • Job requires employee to preform basic arithmetic accurately and compute rates and percentages.

  • Must be able to communicate effectively and professionally (verbally and in writing) as appropriate for the needs of the audience. 

  • Professional in appearance at all times.

  • Working hours vary based on global needs so hours outside of normal business hours will be required.
