  • Own US GAAP accounting, including month-end close, quarterly submissions and reporting requirements, technical accounting issues (such as software capitalization, revenue recognition, etc.) and accounting for any complex and unusual transactions in co-ordination with corporate accounting. Act as the liaison with external auditors for the annual audit of North American shared services.
  • Work closely with the shared services team to put procedures and KPIs in place and provide training to the team in order to ensure controls are effective and appropriate processes are in place to mitigate risk areas and are monitored on a regular basis.
  • Responsible for KPI’s for the shared services organization. Work with the regional business owners to ensure that all customer service needs (such as invoicing, billing, and various other KPI’s) for the business are met and any process issues are addressed in a timely manner.
  • Responsible for all financial systems changes in North America.

Core Mission 20’s:

  • Work effectively with NA finance and business leaders in order to provide accurate and complete financials and other financial information.
  • Drive special projects related to Accounting on a regional basis.
  • Support management and provide oversight on annual internal audit compliance requirements, including managing the development and implementation of drills intended to operationalize internal controls.
  • Assist with financial and operational due diligence on potential acquisitions and assist with integration efforts for completed acquisitions.
  • Provide support on the worldwide monthly general ledger close and consolidation process as needed, including review of business unit financial information and other deliverables.

Are You Qualified?

  • 15+ years of experience, public accounting background or experience in financial reporting or corporate accounting at an international publicly-traded company.
  • 5+ years of experience managing a diverse team.
  • BA/BS degree in Accounting.
  • Active CPA license.
  • Prior experience in tech industry.
  • Ability to be detail oriented. Strong interest in technical US GAAP, including a solid foundation in accounting analysis and ability to read and understand US GAAP guidance.
  • Strong initiative and desire to work in a team-oriented environment. Must be a self-starter with excellent time and project management skills. Excellent organizational and follow-through skills.
  • Highly motivated, detail oriented and organized.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, and verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to identify areas of risk and inefficiency and determine process improvement opportunities to address such risk and inefficiency.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to establish and maintain collaborative work relationships at all levels within the Company.
  • Proficiency with Citrix / Cognos financial reporting software is a plus.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel is required.
