VISION: Private-equity sales & service business is growing organically and through acquisitions. Parent company has revenues over $500M and Northeast region is in the $40M to $50M range. Business serves residential, commercial and industrial markets. Role will report to CFO and will work closely with Branch leadership as well as executive team.

OPPORTUNITY: Looking for a proactive and hands-on financial business partner with upside potential. This role has three dimensions:

  • Financial Reporting, Analysis, Forecasting & Planning (40% to 50%)…provide business intelligence to manage daily operations of the business…this will include capital spending, P/L reporting, sales forecasting, expenses, pricing, margin management, KPIs, demand planning, cost of service, incentive compensation, contract administration, vendor agreements, cash management, leases, etc.
  • Acquisitions & Process Improvements (25% to 35%): Take an active participation on due diligence and integration of acquisitions…with this comes opportunities to improve processes, create shared services, reduce expenses, and support changes in operations and marketing strategies (e.g. centralization and management of vendor contracts; new software implementation)
  • General Accounting (20% to 25%)…manage all general accounting functions through an Accounting Manager….this will include A/P, A/R, billing, P/R, intercompany reconciliations, and G/L.

REQUIREMENTS: BS in Accounting; CPA ideal; MBA a plus. Seek 7+ years of business experience with previous Assistant Controller or Controller title. Any acquisition integration experience is a plus. Ideal candidates might come from distribution, manufacturing, construction or building services industry (e.g. appliance, HVAC, landscaping, painting, plumbing, security, and telecommunications). Must be commutable to Freeport (ME)….no relocation will be considered.

REWARD: $100,000 to $120,000 plus 10-20% bonus
