The Regional Chief Nursing Officer (RCNO) serves as a key senior executive who provides leadership and coordinates region-wide efforts directed at delivering cost effective, efficient, high quality, and safe care in the Alaska region. This position serves as a dyad with the Chief Medical Officer. The RCNO is responsible for alignment, standardization and ongoing improvement of clinical operations and is accountable for executing all identified clinical care projects as well as leading clinical and organizational teams. The RCNO will provide leadership for the shared governance model, clinical peer feedback, clinical policy and procedures, and clinical productivity and will accomplish organizational strategic objective by forming a strong link between region clinical and operational leadership. The RCNO's responsibilities include integration strategies with Critical Access Hospitals (CAH's), Acute and long term care facilities, ambulatory services and clinical programs to better meet the needs of our community.
