The Opportunity The SSM Health of WI Regional Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) is responsible for the strategic development and implementation of a culture of patient safety, the advancement of the profession of nursing, standardization of operations and care processes. The CNO is also responsible for nursing productivity, staffing management with fiscal responsibility within SSM Health Care – Wisconsin in accordance with the philosophy and mission of SSM Health Care. The CNO will lead the development and implementation of effective nursing practice standards and guidelines to assure the safe provision of quality patient care This system position reports directly to the Wisconsin Ministry Clinical Affairs Officer with a dotted line to the SSM Health System CNO. This position offers an experienced executive nursing leader the opportunity to work in a highly successful integrated delivery network that is focused on exceptional patient care. As the clinical nursing leader, you will work collaboratively with executive leadership within both the SSM Health system and the Wisconsin ministry providing direct oversight of nursing recruitment, patient care quality initiatives, staffing levels, and elevation of clinical competencies of the Wisconsin nursing staff. Collaborate with regional and system leadership teams on strategic initiatives ensuring budgets are consistently met and costs are controlled.   • Current unrestricted or ability to obtain license as a registered nurse in WI (BSN)
  • MSN/MBA/MHA required, DNP strongly preferred
  • Minimum of five years of progressive executive leadership experience in regional clinic operations, product line, or multi-site accountability in large healthcare organization.
  • Previous experience as either the Director of Nursing within the flagship hospital of a large system, or as the Chief Nursing Officer of a smaller hospital with multi-site responsibility.
  • Experience in development and implementation of a nursing model.
