Responsible for developing strategies and tactics to achieve customer objectives, KPIs, and targets by implementing strategies and tactics and managing customers in a manner that will achieve profitable long-term growth. The Regional Chain Manager will also oversee and manage a team of Key Account Managers to ensure execution and delivery of objectives for strategic partners.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for sales, promotion, and marketing of brands by providing maximum company sales through planning, executing, follow-up, evaluation, and review
  • Supervise the activities of assigned accounts to ensure maximum sales and profits
  • Coach, direct, and counsel team members on overall performance; define expectations and monitors progress
  • Monitor pricing, merchandising, and competitive activity
  • Provide sales training, brand awareness, and development direction to internal sales professionals and chain buyers
  • Monitor field implementation and execution of national and regional programs to ensure: accurate product pricing, effective discount management, and management of program deadlines
  • Track sales dollars and cases on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis
  • Establish a course of action to accomplish sales and specific goals/programming
  • Identify short and long term account opportunities and create plans to leverage products and relationships
  • Attend chain account promotions and events
  • Provide reports and maintain communication of current and projected goals/objectives
  • Perform other duties as assigned


Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and/or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 5 years of industry related sales experience within the distribution, hospitality or supplier community
  • Valid state motor vehicle operator’s license and ability to obtain and maintain auto liability insurance in accordance with State laws
  • Ability to work flexible hours which include early morning (i.e. 4:00 a.m. - 6:00 a.m. start times), evenings, and/or weekends
  • Ability to work overnight travel as required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience leading a team
  • Ability to adapt and can assist a variety of internal customer groups and varying personality types
  • Strong negotiation skills; demonstrate an entrepreneurial spirit
  • Ability to create and sell innovative ideas
  • Ability to participate in business meetings, company initiatives and events upon request
  • Proficient at calculating commissions, percentages, and reviewing comparative sales data for analysis
  • Must possess a reliable vehicle, a valid drivers’ license and the ability to obtain and maintain auto liability insurance in accordance with State laws
  • Stay apprised of federal, state and local laws affecting the beverage/alcohol industry within account responsibility
  • Strong negotiation skills

Physical Demands

  • Physical demands with activity or condition for a considerable amount of time include sitting and typing/keyboarding using a computer (e.g., keyboard, mouse, and monitor) or adding machine
  • Physical demands with activity or condition may include occasional to rare amount of time include walking, bending, reaching, standing, and stooping
  • May require occasional lifting/lowering, pushing, carrying, or pulling up to 20lbs.
