POSITION SUMMARY:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Participation in the monthly close process, including managing two regional accountants in supporting the month end work
  • Ability to read and understand a contract, and lead team to record revenue based upon contractual provisions
  • Reviewing customer invoices prior to sending and following up on aged AR
  • Understanding and participating in operations-related processes
  • Analyze and understand variances in monthly results compared to budget and support regional teams reporting to management
  • Review of monthly account reconciliations

SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND TRAINING NEEDED TO PERFORM THIS JOB:

  • Analytical background with experience in progressive roles supporting operations
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and accuracy
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload in a fast-paced environment
  • Flexibility and ability to pivot in a dynamic environment
  • Confident interacting and communicating with individuals at all levels of organization
  • Experience with Intacct or other ERP systems

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:

Education

Minimum: BA/BS degree in Accounting, Finance, Healthcare, Business Administration or related field. CPA or CMA certification a plus.

Experience

Minimum: 4-5 years of hands-on accounting experience in a private or public company. SOX experience a plus. Previous experience as part of a cross-department leadership team.
