We are seeking an Ophthalmic Regional Account Manager for a Sales territory in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.-Minneapolis, Minnesota. The success of this individual will ultimately be measured by the production of consistent incremental sales volumes that meet or exceed established quotas. This position is of critical importance to the organization and requires a proactive, self-motivated and self-directed individual with a true passion for exceptional performance and success. The Milwaukee ? Minneapolis Regional Account Manager needs to have a positive ?Can Do? attitude and is able to quickly build trust with their customers as well as their fellow team members in a transparent, ethical, and honest manner.  


General Responsibilities:


Be proficient and comfortable presenting detailed scientific subject matter in a clear, understandable and persuasive fashion while seeking to better understand the individual customer?s needs and develop the ability to speak to those needs.

Enhance awareness of Branded Ophthalmic product lines and engage with their customers in robust meaningful conversations concerning relevant clinical efficacy and safety data and the ability of our products to meet their needs and expectations.

To be successful in this role the Account Manager will need to quickly become proficient using all required tools and resources provided. This includes but is not limited to;

Effective use of all existing and newly created promotional sales pieces and the corresponding sales messages and relevant points that can be made with the materials for all targeted products. 

Effective use of all approved clinical study reprints and the relevant points that can be made from the studies to answer questions in support of the promoted brands.

Use of all promotional programs (Lunch & Learns, EyeRx? Direct, etc.) with specific and clear goals & objectives for utilization of these tools and corresponding outcomes expected.

Proper and consistent utilization of prescription drug samples at levels appropriate to drive and /or maintain business across all promoted products

Expertise with consistent utilization of all territory planning and performance measurement tools provided (VEEVA, V-Insights, Concur, etc.).

In conjunction with their Regional Sales Director develop effective and efficient call plans and routes to maximize their time and impact upon their territory.

Successfully execute their specific plans and meet all quarterly and annual sales objectives. 


Bachelor?s degree, preferably in a scientific or medically related field

Three or more years of successful pharmaceutical sales experience plus two or more years of successful specialty pharmaceutical sales ideally within the ophthalmic market place.

In lieu of prior pharmaceutical sales experience two or more years of successful medical sales or three or more years of practical clinical experience as a Certified Ophthalmic Technician in direct support of an ophthalmologist or general ophthalmology practice is also acceptable.

Individual must be proactive, self-motivated, self-directed and able to travel, as much as 50% maybe required.  

Sales Awards for Presidents Club for above average Sales performance in prior role in outside sales is preferred.

Base Salary - $80,000 to $80,000
