The Regional Account Manager is a critical position to the company, responsible for ensuring the sustainment and growth of Myriad business with key regional payers. This role reports directly to the Manager of Regional Accounts and will work cross-functionally to establish and execute payer-specific strategies and tactics. A position is currently available with responsibilities focusing on large regional commercial insurers and government payers in the Northeastern United States.
Location: Northwest, Southwest, United States. This is a home-office based position but residence in the territory is strongly preferred.
Candidates for the position should have a BS or BA with a minimum 5-7 years of proven success in healthcare related sales, key account management, contracting, or comparable experience. Candidates should have a strong knowledge of healthcare industry and validated success working withcommercial insurers and or government payers. Candidates should have well developed organizational, communication, presentation and negotiation skills. Strategic account management, previous managed care contracting experience and in-depth knowledge of the insurance industry is strongly preferred. Approximately 15-20% travel is required.
