ecruitment & Talent Development Manager Location: Manhattan

Seeking a Recruitment & Talent Development Manager to coordinate and support the execution of a robust talent development strategy. This person will support the HR team in executing activities that foster pride, innovation, high performance, teamwork and positive employee engagement. This position represents an extraordinary opportunity to impact the way the entire organization thinks about and develops talent, and subsequently impacts the experience of every team member. You will work closely with leaders and key staff in the organization across Leadership and Operations to drive change, employee engagement and a positive company culture.

Recruit, Identify, Hire Talent

Cultivate and assess candidates for functional expertise and culture fit

Lead development of interview guidelines, evaluation tools, workflows, and assessment procedures with an eye towards diversity, equity and inclusion to ensure that all managers are equipped with the necessary resources to hire staff

Evaluate and utilize various recruiting channels, as appropriate, to ensure a broad and diverse candidate pool and that hires candidates efficiently and timely

Coach hiring managers to ensure we recruit exceptional and diverse talent

Strengthen employer branding in all mediums with a focus on diversity, equity and inclusion Staff Management, Development, and Training

Build and execute org-wide and individual or department-specific training for staff based on needs: implicit bias, interviewing, management skills, etc.

Create and promote pathways for high-performing employees to grow (promotions and developmental opportunities) and succeed Organizational Development and Change Management

Lead and execute strategies that make a diverse, equitable and inclusive place including facilitating the DEI committee

Lead development of regular employee survey strategy

Provide guidance and challenge managers on how to effectively manage change within the organization, such as department reorganizations, leadership changes and role restructuring

Establish metrics and evaluate the effectiveness of its talent strategy on an ongoing basis

Develop and execute strategies to build a positive and effective organizational culture and employee experience including providing better quality forums and opportunities for staff and management to interact with, learn from and about one another

Develop a holistic internal communications strategy utilizing multiple channels to disseminate information to staff in a way that is received and understood

Strategically and accurately articulate new processes or initiatives to the organization, ensuring the alignment of expectations, goals, and roles Retention and Engagement

Maintain a comprehensive onboarding process that fully introduces and integrates new staff members into the culture

Identify and lead opportunities to improve employee engagement

Create and implement internal systems to recognize employee accomplishments and efforts

Institutionalize organizational norms to boost morale, build positive cultural experiences for staff and integrate with mission and values.

You have:

Minimum 5 years of professional HRexperience, including hands-on recruitment experience, and a track record of working effectively in an entrepreneurial setting (for- or non-profit)

Extremely organized and detail-oriented

Excellent judgement and thoughtful decision making capability

Stellar interpersonal and relationship-building skills

Discretion; commitment to confidentiality

Ability to rapidly shift between multiple projects and priorities – keeping a clear focus on what really matters

Comfortable working in a vibrant open-plan office

Bachelor's degree from an accredited university

Experience with a PEO a plus

Experience with Greenhouse a plus
