The successful applicant is responsible for CONUS and OCONUS recruitment activities. Must be detail oriented with strong multi-tasking capabilities.  Complete all tasks of the hiring process including job offers, background checks, licensures, education, required specific training, and verification of all pre-employment paperwork.

Responsible for recruiting aviation, technical, administrative and management positions throughout the company.   A basic understanding of the Aviation Industry is preferred.  

Must be able to establish trust and credibility by working independently with customers and candidates. 

Extensive knowledge of personnel policies and procedures, federal and state laws regarding employment practices.  

Familiarity with Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) and Aviation Platform knowledge preferred. One Key Performance Indicator which is tracked and reported is successfully staffing to the defined job requirement utilizing S3’s time to hire metrics.

Responsibilities are inclusive of but not limited to:

  • Develop creative recruiting resources to attract candidates, salaried and hourly for CONUS AND OCONUS positions.   

  • Attend Job/Career fairs (local and statewide)

  • Screen and interview candidates, and perform reference checks.

  • Extend job offers.

  • Schedule drug screenings and track results for all new hires.

  • Maintain productive and collaborative relationships with internal customers and HR team.

  • Deliver consistent application of HR policies, legislation and best practices for hiring candidates.

  • Support HR Management with special projects and contribute to functional and cross functional teaming projects.

  • Understand and assist in the preparation and delivery of AAP Plans and EEO tracking.

  • Conduct new hire orientation.

Education/Experience Requirements: BS in Business Administration, Management, or Human Resources; Additional recruiting experience may be acceptable as a substitution for education requirements. Eight years of experience as an HRRecruiter in a DOD contracting or military environment. Experiencerecruiting Army and DoD retirees. Must have familiarity with DoD Transition Assistance Programs (DoD TAP), Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines and Coast Guard Transitional Centers e.g. ACAP, as well as Army Reserves and National Guard (ARNG), components. At least 3years’ experience as ATS system administrator. Must be proficient in Social Media for the purpose of recruiting. An HR Certification is preferred as well as a Secret Clearance or the ability to obtain one. Demonstrable ability in sourcing and recruiting the best-fit candidates and build long-term networks for current and future positions. Experience with a DCAA approved Accounting System is a plus.
Possess conceptual skills with decision-making ability; strong communication and analytical skills. Proven track record of working in a fast-paced, metric-driven and deadline-oriented environment. Must be proficient in MS Office applications.
