An integral member of the Real Estate Team, the Real Estate Manager is responsible for the day-to-day oversight and administration of a real estate portfolio consisting of more than 130 retail, office, and distribution properties that comprise nearly 7.0 million square feet across 16 states.
The Real Estate Manager is the primary point-of-contact between Havertys’ Real Estate department and outside property management companies, landlords, and service providers for all real estate asset management and lease administration matters.
Education / Experience: minimum four-year business college degree and at least three years related experience or equivalent combination of education and related experience; CPM, MCR, RPA professional designations preferred.
Reading / Language Skills: strong communication skills, both written and verbal; ability to read, analyze, and interpret a variety of legal documents relating to real estate including leases, deeds, easements, estoppels, SNDAs, etc.; ability to interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical documents, and government regulations; ability to write reports, business correspondence, and policy/procedure manuals or documents; ability to concisely and effectively present information and respond to questions and provide direction.
Technical Skills: Strong working knowledge of with CoStar Real Estate Manager (or similar Lease Adminstration System), Verisae, Accruent, ServiceChannel, etc. Experience with CMMS (or smilar), Lawson (general ledger) platforms strongly preferred. Strong working knowldege of Office 365, Microsoft Sharepoint, Microsoft Excel.
