Real Estate Advisory Services Manager

The Real Estate Advisory Services Manager is responsible for helping to expand the firm’s Real Estate Portfolio Strategy Services while contributing to the evolution, management, and execution of all of the firm’s existing service lines.

- Assist our clients with complex and challenging location and footprint issues. Help shape the CRE corporate strategy, enable our clients’ ability to enter new markets, provide an understanding of the full scope of location decisions, and enable effective negotiations to secure economic development incentives
- Conduct strategic market planning by identifying the top priority trade areas for future corporate growth or transition
- Perform site and trade area assessment through a variety of analytical tools, as well as knowledge of comparable store characteristics and performance
- Become the expert in the market conditions for assigned markets, including post-audit assessments of new unit openings, changes in competitive levels and strategies, and ongoing demographic shifts within the market
- As appropriate, provide general research support for strategic planning and advancing real estate learning
- Maintain and enhance portfolio optimization and site assessment tools
- Support business development team members and business development efforts by providing support throughout the sales cycle, including preparation of materials in response to RFI’s and RFP’s, presentations statements of works, and proposals
- Manage staff and provides deliverables to clients
- Manage client expectations regarding budget, scope and timing
- Act as a contact for client questions and inquiries
- Communicate team requirements and executes against project plans to deliver client work product on-time and on-budget
- Mentor team members and utilizes existing team to deliver on certain aspects of projects
- Work with business development team to identify and pursue new opportunities
- Manage client expectations at all levels of the organization, including ability to present to and communicate with board level executives
- Manage engagements to ensure engagement metrics are achieved
- Other duties as required

Qualifications Education:
- Bachelor’s degree is required. Strong consideration for Management, Business Economics, or Finance majors
- MBA or other relevant advanced degree preferred

Experience:
- Five (5) or more years of related experience in Corporate Real Estate (CRE) Operating Model Design and CRE Footprint optimization strategy development, monetization strategy development, site location research, and strategic market planning required
- Prior financial and/or economic analysis, business valuation, public accounting, consulting experience preferred
- Strong financial background working within FPA or Treasury, M&A, Corporate Strategy and or CRE leadership preferred

Software:
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite required
- Advanced excel skills with ability to develop complex financial models required
- Advanced PowerPoint skills with ability to articulates complex issues and solutions through slide development required

Other Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Executive presence and ability to act as primary contact on assigned engagements
- Proven business development skills, including selling additional services to existing clients, preparing proposals and maintaining and expanding a personal network of referral sources is required
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong analytical and advanced research skills related to industry trends
- Solid organizational skills especially ability to meet project deadlines with a focus on details
- Strong communication skills with ability to present findings and recommend strategies to senior leadership
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to collect, manage, and analyze information from multiple sources
