The Director of Radiology has oversight for Radiology services provided at Floyd Polk Medical Center. The areas of responsibility include: quality of care, best practices, customer satisfaction, finances and enhancing professional relationships. Key areas of responsibility include: Budget development and management, collection of data related to the unit performance improvement plan and working to ensure compliance with Accreditation Standards. The Director is responsible for human resource planning, fiscal planning and planning for the growth and development of the Radiology department both short term and long term. The Director is an internal consultant and team leader/facilitator to both his/her unit and as needed to departments or groups requiring Radiology expertise. He/She is responsible and accountable for the day to day functioning of the unit. This individual assists with the development, interpretation, and application of the department and organizational policies. He/she provides appropriate age specific patient care to neonate, infant, child, adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations.
