The Valley Medical Group is part of the Valley Health System. Valley Medical Group (VMG) is a multispecialty group practice comprised of physicians and advanced practice providers representing more than 50 medical and surgical specialties. The construction of The New Valley Hospital, due to be completed in late 2023, will be a 900,000-square-foot state-of-the-art healthcare destination site on a 40-acre campus in Paramus.

The Department of Radiation Oncology at The Valley Hospital in Paramus, NJ is seeking a Full-Time Radiation Oncologist to join our existing team of 3 progressive and innovative physicians. The Valley Hospital is a 451-bed, fully accredited, acute-care, not-for-profit hospital with a full scope of emergency, inpatient and outpatient services for adults and children. Our Oncology program has a strategic affiliation with Mt. Sinai in New York City and our physicians are appointed the position of Clinical Assistant Professor through the Icahn School of Medicine.

Position Responsibilities:

The Radiation Oncology Department currently has 3 full-time physicians. We treat on 2 Varian TrueBeam Linear Accelerators with 6 DOF couches and BrainLab ExacTrac Dynamic systems, 1 Varian Edge with HD-MLC's, 6 DOF couch and BrainLab ExacTrac Dynamic system, 1 Gamma Knife Icon and 1 Elekta HDR unit. We offer comprehensive cancer care and have active clinical programs to treat all disease sites.

We are seeking a motivated Radiation Oncologist, with good communication skills and a team based philosophy. The applicant should have an interest and work experience in the management of patients with prostate cancer. The successful candidate would also share in the management of other disease sites depending on his or her interests. We are seeking someone with Board Certification and at least 1 year of post graduate work experience.

Position Qualifications:
  • MD or DO
  • Licensed to practice Medicine in the State of New Jersey
  • Board certified in Radiation Oncology in accordance with the Hospital's Medical Board Rulings regarding Board Certification
