The individual will provide actionable, timely, and communicative internal statistical consultancy to SCI and broader R&D (Projects, Scripting, Training) on all projects. Includes providing recommendations or services for study design, statistical analysis and/or validation of data analysis conducted by R&D staff.
Project support entails the design and execution of research plans, data collection, analysis, interpretation, and reporting for continuous improvement, productivity, innovation and Quality Monitoring initatives.
Develop and deliver training modules and regular statistical training workshops, as well as individual training, to equip and empower the broader technical community with numerical-based analytical capabilities.
The individual will be responsible for developing recommendations on ?Global Best Practices? for the statistical analysis of sensory and consumer testing data across Global SCI satellites and suppliers, data management and warehousing.
The individual will interact extensively with Product Development, FOF Research, Packaging and Process Innovation, Global Operations, Quality, Marketing and Market Research. This includes working on R&D Summer Intern program and advising interns on study design and analysis of project data.
Summary of major duties:
Provide statistical consultancy on design and provide data analysis for SCI project leaders and R&D staff including complex studies such as Category Mapping, Drivers of Liking, Product Optimization, Consumer Based Specifications, Design of Experiments, etc., includes reporting.
Provide informal and formal stats training for SCI staff and the broader R&D community.
Project Leader on independent projects in support of productivity improvements, shelf life, and innovation. Execution, analysis, interpretation and reporting of sensory/consumer tests, including working with external vendors..
Create new and maintain existing R&D web apps developed using Rstudio.
Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required to successfully perform major duties/responsibilities:
? Demonstrated ability to analyze, interpret and report study results including the ability to integrate data from multiple sources (i.e. consumer, analytical and expert panel)
? Design, develop, and integrate statistical programming code to standardize and automate repetitive analysis and reports across cross-functional business platforms.
? Demonstrated ability to build Shiny Apps using RStudio.
? Computer skills
- Expertise in Statistical Packages: SAS JMP, R, R-studio, SPSS, StatsGraphics, etc.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
Education: B.A. or B.S. degree in Statistics
1. M.A. or Phd degree in Statistics or Mathematics.
2. In addition to degree in Statistics, B.S. or M.S. degree in Food Science with emphasis in Sensory.
Minimum 2-4 years applicable work experience
Bonus: demonstrated understanding, work experience and application of data analysis in the field of Sensory and Consumer research.
