Position Summary This is a hand-on role responsible for building, testing, and analyzing high power ultrasound transducers. This individual closely with experts and other team members to implement and evaluate engineering solutions. He or she will contribute to advancing ReCor’s core technologies. He or she will work with other cross-functional team members to achieve business targets. Responsibilities and Duties • Work with ultrasound engineers on prototyping transducer concepts • Execute mechanical, electrical, and acoustic tests to characterize transducer performance • Analyse transducer failure modes/issues and identify areas of improvement • Evaluate and improve manufacturability of transducers and components, and work with engineers on establishing standard processes for testing and production.
• Mange lab equipment such regular maintenance, calibration, and new equipment registration, etc. • Identify problems or improvement opportunities in existing measurement methods, and system/transducer designs; • Support the development of intellectual property; • Collaborate other functional groups to ensure compliance to the ReCor Quality System; Requirements • A minimum of 10 years’ experience working on high frequency PZT transducers. Excellent knowledge on transducer components such as PZT, backing and matching materials, and their impacts on transducer performance.
• Highly skilled in processes such as cutting, dicing, bonding, wielding, coating, separation, etc. • Motivated to work in an R&D environment that requires prototyping, iteration, analysis, and optimization. Strives to push the technology to the edge and achieve the highest performance. • Good communication skills and excellent team player.
