Job Title: R&D engineer - mechanical engineer- medical device

Location: US-CO-Boulder



This engineering position requires good technical skills to support the design and development of new medical products. 

Engineer will applyengineering principles, theories, and concepts towards the development of a Monopolar Surgical Device and Vessel Sealing device.

This position will require working for a Core team member/ Tech team lead to determine technical objectives of assignments.


Primary Skills:

  • 2-4years of expereince in Medical product development
  • Design and develop Test Fixtures/Test Rigs
  • Design of plastic or sheet metal parts
  • Support / develop verification test methods, protocols and reports
  • Evaluate Analyze and Report test results to key stake holders
  • Participate in technical meetings and discussions 
  • Experience in Verification Validation testing
  • Demonstrated ability to create and document test methods and test plans during product development
  • Demonstrated ability in the design, development of test fixtures
  • Demonstrated ability to work in cross functional teams
  • Design of plastic and sheet metal parts using Creo
  • Demonstrated strong statistical skills 
  • Familiar with MiniTab
  • Instron set-up, programing, testing
  • Familiar with pneumatic/motorized/automated test set up development
  • PLM using WindChill
  • Strong knowledge of IEC standards 606011-1 and 60601-2-2
  • Experience with Six-Sigma tools and its application



?   design control principles ,process validation IQ/OQ/PQ ,Minitab,Test Method Validation,  Monopolar Surgical Device


Secondary Skills:

?        Ability to communicate effectively in multi-discipline, cross cultural environment and levels of organization

  • Prior experience in a medical device


Educational Qualifications


B.S. in engineering (Mech Eng, Biomedical Eng.)
