Responsibilities:
• Manage expectations effectively through clear and continuous communication with client and/or other accountants
• Maintain the primary direct relationship with assigned clients, meeting with each client at least quarterly
• Review budgeting & forecasting, cash flow and other strategic financial planning with the client to identify trends and areas of concern
• Act as the primary client ally in relationships with client’s professional Center of Influence (COI) team (e.g. attorney, insurance and financial experts, banks, etc.) to ensure that vendors have the client’s best interests in mind
• Provide operational assistance through integrated resource and performance planning, solutions implementation, and collaboration with other business areas (such as marketing & sales, HR, technology)
• Provide individual client budgeting, resource management, consulting, and ongoing mentoring
• Develop and use KPIs/metrics in discussions
• Provide onsite services as requested by client
• Coordinate the preparation of necessary board meeting materials and attend meetings to present findings
• Prepare client business plans as requested
• Assist client in maintaining profitability
• Actively participate in growth initiatives through business development, assessment, or impact pricing efforts
• Act as a liaison with new firms acquired through mergers and acquisitions to help acclimate into Wipfli’s culture
• Participate in special projects/committees
Qualifications:
• Four Year Degree in Accounting required
• Professional certification - CPA required
• 7+ years of experience in public accounting working with clients in $1 to $10MM revenue
• 3+ years of leadership experience
