We are looking for a quant dev to help build out better toolkits and infrastructure for our quants in our investment management business to plug into.
This will enable our quants to focus on the research, while the quant devs can help push things into production. Some of the job responsibilities will be to adapt, fix, write tests or in some cases re-implement strategies. We need someone with a software perspective (not an infrastructure dev), but he/she needs to have the ability to take someone’s strategy and make it work more precisely.
The ideal person will likely have some overlap with the quant skill set, which would enable them to really understand the implications of the strategies.
Someone recently out of school with a BS with science/math focus (CS background is ideal). If someone likes working on building big systems, they are not right for this role.
Excellent knowledge of Python preferred (Java a plus)
