The Testing Team Manager for U.S. Bank's prepaid card payments strategy team is responsible for ensuring the testing of the applicable software systems and applications are operating as designed and are ready for deployment. They will work closely with Product Management, Business Lines and IT. A combination of agile and waterfall standard project management methodology and Software Development Life Cycle approach will be followed. The manager will be responsible for leading development, implementation, analysis, control, and performance of the Testing Team including practices, standards, methodologies, and metrics. They need to demonstrate the ability to lead and manage the Prepaid Card Product Test Team to produce quality projects, products, and applications while understanding regulatory and risk ramifications.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for development, implementation, control, and distribution of all Quality Assurance practices, standards, methodologies, and metrics
  • Lead practices necessary to produce quality products/services and manage risk
  • Help establish quality standards to be universally applied throughout the site
  • Conduct program reviews and complex process audits
  • Assist in major audits/reviews of programs and subcontractors
  • Ensure processes focus consistently on 'best practices' to ensure quality assurance objectives are maintained
  • Provide status reporting updates to the team, Release manager and senior management
  • Alert senior management regarding the correcting of deficiencies or compliance issues in a timely manner
  • Monitor adherence to quality standards in development and implementation of production applications
  • Effectively manage an employee team at all levels including staffing, training, coaching, project and performance management


Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
  • 8-10 years of operations experience in the financial services industry
  • 4 or more years of supervisory/management experience
  • 1-2 years' experience in systematic software testing
  • Experience with appropriate test and development tools and Windows OS
  • Intermediate-level expertise with SQL Server

Preferred Skills/Experience

  • Understanding of QA in the software development lifecycle including standard techniques and approaches to testing
  • Experience with Jenkins, Git Bash, TOAD, SoapUI and Postman, Smart Bear or similar software preferred
  • Ability to approach problems analytically and logically
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation communication skills
  • Highly experienced in the Testing/Quality Assurance capabilities
  • Capable of developing and executing test plans and test cases for highly complex products
  • Capable of coordinating and working with other areas to ensure testing of issues that may potentially affect companion areas is accomplished
  • Considerable knowledge of operation functions, systems, policies and procedures for the assigned area
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks/projects and deadlines simultaneously
