Odyssey Systems has an exciting opportunity for a Quality Manufacturing Engineer supporting the Nuclear Weapons Acquisition Division, AFLCMC/NDB, Eglin AFB FL, which is part of the AF Nuclear Weapons Center. This Division has responsibility for developing, testing, and producing systems and components related to nuclear strategic weapon systems for our nation's warfighters. These products include the B61-12 Tailkit Assembly and the Long Range Standoff (LRSO) missile.

Job Responsibilities:

Provides resources with knowledge and experience in the principles, criteria, and procedures of DoD and Air Force policies and industrial quality standards for manufacturing and acceptance of Armament Systems.

Duties include, but not limited to:

  • Applying the principles of MIL-HDBK-896, AS9100, and other industry higher level quality management systems, as well as ensuring conformance to Quality related FAR and DFARS clauses
  • Supplier Quality Flowdown and assessments/audits of Supplier compliance to contractual requirements, as well as participation in production and acceptance test process improvement activities
  • Providing Quality Assurance (QA) support in program milestone activities and analysis of broad QA issues common to all acquisition programs, as well as QA issues particular to specific programs
  • Analysis of prime Contractor and sub-tier supplier production capabilities
  • Supply Chain Management best practices; performing onsite supplier reviews, assessments, and audits

Minimum Qualifications:

  • US Citizen
  • Secret clearance (updated within six years)
  • BA/BS in Engineering (Industrial or Process Engineering preferred) with 15+ years of relevant experience
  • Must be able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing

Additional Information:

  • Travel required
  • Ability to rent/operate rental cars while on travel
  • Ability to work flexible and varied hours
