Quality Manager at Zf Friedrichshafen Ag in Newton, NC

e are looking for a new colleague in the Quality department at our location in Newton, NC.

Your Responsibilities:

Review, plan, select, develop and implement QMS/EMS/and related documents to meet the intent of the standard/specification and ensure ease of use by the facility.

Lead and coordinate all Quality activities with regards to new program launch(es), process planning, process improvement, and problem solving.

Assist in ensuring a safe working environment for all Associates, Managers and Visitors by ensuring all follow all safety rules and taking a proactive approach to accident prevention.

Develop, implement and maintain an effective document system to include IATF 16949, ISO 14001, and Engineering changes.

Complete position assessment, annual performance reviews. leadership assessments and training plans to ensure development of employees; maintain open door policy; mentor/coach employees.

Establish and meet departmental goals that ensure the continued support of the mission, vision and values of the facility. Ensure quality objectives for supplier and customer products and key metrics are met.

Develop, implement and manage department within budget. Take appropriate actions to support facility budget.

Support manufacturing with troubleshooting and problem solving quality issues. Use the tools as defined in Six Sigma to help resolve issues. Establish appropriate inspection/rework areas and corrective actions when needed.

Lead the introduction of new products or modification of products within assigned area using APQP and PPAP tools from development to launch and participant in and coordinate internal audits.

Your Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree or equivalent experience.

• Proficient computer skills with Microsoft Office and Outlook software and knowledge.

• Minimum of 5 years supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.

• APQP, IATF 16949 and core tools, ISO 14001experience.

• Ability for travel-both domestic and foreign.
