Quality Manager

The Quality Manager is a role which will coach, mentor and guide the current Bristol operations towards 100% customer satisfaction by implementation of an effective Quality Management Systems for primarily but not limited to Automotive and Aerospace applications. The Quality Manager will be functionally responsible to work with the quality and production teams to have effective standardization of systems for quality assurance and quality control. This individual will also be directly responsible for managing the effectiveness of satisfying the interested parties within the supply chain, and lead the World-Class Manufacturing Quality and Process Control Pillar to effectively plan, deploy and implement continuous improvement projects to show a positive trend on KPI’s. The individual will effectively train and develop direct reports and other employees to the desired level of competency in various Quality related subjects and strategies. For Automotive applications, the Quality Manager will also lead efforts related to APQP, PPAP Approvals, and customer satisfaction.

What You Do Matters:

  • Ensure that the organization’s Quality Management System conforms to customer, internal, IATF16949, AS9100, regulatory/legal and other requirements. Ensure evaluation of and reporting on interested parties’ expectations and control. Manage Customer Communication, Corrective Action Systems and Waste reduction efforts.

  • Coordinate external QMS & Customer quality audits for the Bristol Site and effectively close NCR’s from audits.

  • Lead the Quality and Process Control Pillar to effectively plan, deploy and implement continuous improvement projects to show a positive trends on KPI’s

  • Coach, Supervise, and Mentor the Quality Team (Engineers, Supervisors and Technicians) for effective decision making on but not limited to PPAP, Annual submissions/FAI, Feasibility studies, Laboratory testing methods and operation, MRB systems, Internal Quality process control (SQC, SPC), new vendor qualifications and project management.

  • Lead efforts related to automotive application quality requirements including APQP, PPAP submissions, customer audits, and on-going support.

  • Be an effective proponent of the Quality, Environmental, Health and Safety program for the site. Responsible and accountable for all EHS policies and implementation in the Quality Area.

Who You Are Matters:

  • Bachelors Degree in Technical field required

  • Masters Degree in Technical field preferred

  • 5 + years experience working as a Quality Manager or in a Quality function within a manufacturing environment required

  • 3 + years experience in an Automotive-related manufacturing environment preferred

  • 2 + years experience in supervisionrequired

  • Knowledge of IATF-16949, APQP, PPAP preferred

  • Experience in the field of Quality Management or Quality Engineering (3-5 Years) required

  • Expertise in problem solving methodologies and continuous improvement techniques required

  • Must have ability to manage performance, leadership skills, initiative, strong organizational and decision-making skills, team building and motivating skills, and a high degree of customer orientations.

  • Previous Supervisory experience in a Manufacturing Environment or similar fieldpreferred.

  • Six-Sigma/Lean Manufacturing Green Belt Certification preferred

  • ASQ CQE or CQT or CQA preferred
