  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Bachelors degree or equivalent experience in Engineering discipline or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years experience in managing Quality Department.
  • Minimum 5 years of extensive hands-on experience in dimensional inspection and GD&T.
  • Proficiency with common QC instruments and Brown&Sharp(PC-DMIS)/Mitutoyo CMM programming experience preferred.
  • Previous working experience with defense contracts. Proficiency with Gov/Mil drawings, standards, specifications, and ability to translate the contract requirements into practical QC inspection procedure and instructions.
  • Proficiency with fixture design, Design of Experiment(DOE), assembly techniques, mechanical testing and device characterization.
  • Implementation and auditing experience for ISO 9001 and AS 9100.
  • Strong team player and leader - demonstrated ability to work within a team and a strong drive to achieve results.
  • Past working experience with various welding techniques a big plus.
  • Responsibilities:
  • Team up with Engineering/Production Dept. to oversee daily quality operations.
  • Develop and document QA inspection instruction and testing procedures to ensure conformance to the Gov Contract and ISO9001/AS 9100 requirements.
  • Provide focused hands-on QA engineering efforts to new and existing projects.
  • Interact closely with various suppliers for flow-down QC requirements as well as NCMR/CPARS processes.
  • Lead FMEA for new and existing products.
  • Develop and design improved QA inspection techniques where appropriate.
