About The Opportunity

Position Summary

Responsible for the design and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure thatquality standardsare met during production. Oversees testing of processes and products.

Essential to this Position

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Ensure implementation of company-wide Quality programs and promotion of a “Culture of Quality"
  • Create site strategies, systems and controls to support company and customer objectives in the areas of Quality Assurance/Compliance
  • Establish and report site(s) key Quality performance metrics and provides leadership support to assigned sites to ensure scorecard objectives are met
  • Implement and maintain overarching Quality framework, which utilizes assessment, training, and monitoring techniques to ensure compliance with federal, state and local laws and regulations, and independent agency standards
  • Manage quality incident resolution process including completion of root cause analyses, calculation of total cost of quality, implementation of corrective actions, and communication to key stakeholders
  • Address Quality concerns and operational improvement opportunities working with key stakeholders and implementing corrective actions
  • Manage the external/internal audit processes and supports site Quality representative responsible for executing any needed corrective action to address audit deficiencies
  • Provide guidance on staffing, training, employee relations and performance management to develop and enhance the Quality function, working closely with direct reports
  • Maintain industry, professional and technical knowledge by networking, attending industry events, and reviewing professional publications

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degreerequired
  • Minimum of 5 years of quality control and leadership experience
  • GFSI, SQF certification desired
  • Creative and innovative – challenging the status quo, taking risks, supporting change and generating new ideas
  • Prior experience in manufacturing, supply chain or re-packing industries
  • Experience in supervising, leading, coaching and mentoring a team
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills
  • Proactive problem solver, and ability to manage projects to completion
  • Root cause analysis skills to determine corrective and preventative actions
  • Strong computer skills and work within ERP systems
  • Exceptional knowledge of Federal/GMP regulations, and safety
