Job Purpose

Management of all quality activities, Design and Application activities and its respective resources in Cargo and Devise Protection's Colton site. Management of ISO 9001, quality improvement methodologies and Design and Application projects to ensure fulfillment of customer required quality of produced materials.

Responsibilities

  • Develop new QC methods and optimize existing methods to ensure accurate analytical results
  • Implement required analytical methods from Development & Application NPI department for new and existing products
  • Responsible for all incoming, in process and outgoing quality control
  • Ensure that a reporting structure for analytical results is maintained and accurate results are reported
  • Responsible for investment projects related to quality improvements
  • Maintain uptime of quality equipment and timeous calibration maintenance
  • Ensure compliance with all legal and ISO standards
  • Manage team projects within quality department
  • Document Management in GMS
  • Responsible for coordinating and attending customer audits
  • Responsible for coordinating customer complaints in QNS
  • Ensure that environmental monitoring is carried out as requiredin conjunction with Site Safety Officer
  • Investigate all incidents in the quality department and assist with site incident investigation
  • Ensure compliance of quality staff to site, business unit and company safety and health standards
  • Administration of Quality and Development & Applications staff in region
  • Ensure all direct reports have completed all required trainings
  • Participate in and champion quality standards within non-quality specific team settings
  • Administration of quality and D&A staff in region

Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree required; or equivalent years of experience (preferably in the Quality Systems and Engineering)
  • 5 years experience in a quality environment, or equivalent experience in manufacturing, R&D, other production support system
  • Experience of ISO 9001, 14001 and OHAS 18001
  • Working knowledge of laboratory instrumentation and processes
  • CLNX, Green Belt, Black Belt, quality management training is advantageous
