Versar, Inc. is seeking a Quality Control and Process Improvement Specialist to work in our
Ft. Snelling, MN office.
Command Level Strategic Planning.
Act as subject matter expert (SME) to assist 88RD leadership and staff in identifying priority performance measurements. Work at the Chief of Staff (CoS) level. Be the quality champion and advocate for organizations/staff sections.
Assist organization and staff sections in alignment of strategic goals and performance measurements with vision, mission, values, and strategic objectives using the Balanced Scorecard methodology.
Provide coordination and recommended agenda for the annual strategic planning session. Develop/update the resultant written strategic plan.
Process Improvement, Measurement, and Analysis.
Assist in the review and update of performance measurements and performance targets, developing action plans and process maps.
Assist in the development of analysis of performance trends and comparative data. This may include 88th Readiness Division (RD) level metrics, unit metrics, Reserve Personnel Action Center (RPAC) metrics, 1st Army Support Command metrics, and Directorate of Public Works (DPW) facility support.
Using Six Sigma Black Belt skill set, improve processes using the Define-Measure-Analyze-Improve-Control (DMAIC) process. Facilitate Process Action Teams (PATs) to improve selected processes.
Stakeholder Feedback Lead.
Act as Lead for the Interactive Customer Evaluation (ICE) survey application: development of customer feedback comment, tracks activity
Assist in development of regular reports & metrics showing customer feedback ratings, trends, and comparative data; Assist in development of workforce surveys, analysis of feedback, provide recommendations for improving customer/workforce engagement
Provide monthly RPAC performance data to several 88th RD major customers.
Baldrige/Army Communities of Excellence (ACOE).
Act at SME for 88RD in the ACOE process. Assist in identifying team members/authors for the annual organizational assessment, selection of ACOE examiners, oversee quality assessment assembly/publication by suspense dates, and ensure the integrity and accuracy of the written assessment.
Participate in the annual United States Army Reserve (USAR)/Army National Guard (ARNG) ACOE Downselect. Act as the bridge between the USAR ACOE Program Manager and 88th RD.
Assist in identifying and coordinating annual “Best Practices” presentations.
Coordinate semi-annual ACOE Organizational Assessment Courses
Requirements BS degree in Business Management or other related field.
Minimum 5 years experience in Quality process Improvement. Military/Federal Quality Improvement experience preferred.
Possess knowledge of federal, state, DoD, and Army Regulations.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Excellent oral and written communication skills; sound organizational skills, and ability to perform independent, detail-oriented work are required.
Successful candidates must be a self-starter who is prepared to take ownership of several projects & multi-task coordination.
