Responsibilities

Job Description

MISSION:

This position reports to the Plant Quality Control Manager and is responsible for administration of the functions relating to the Quality Engineering and Document Center activities.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

1. Control and interpretation of customer requirements and issuance of necessary instructions for conformance to these requirements or attaining waivers to these requirements.

2. Assuring that functional, economical part Quality plans are developed and communicated to the affected functions or departments within PCC and its vendors.

3. Assuring that product inspection instructions are developed, issued and that outgoing product meets the customer requirements.

4. Assuring that all nonconformances relating to Quality system and products are evaluated and dispositioned, that positive prevention corrective action is taken. Further, that nonconformances are communicated to the customer when appropriate.

5. Assures that appropriate communications occur between PCC and its customers and vendors on all Quality related items.

6. Assures that Quality related experiments/statistical studies are conducted and problem-solving tasks related to Quality matters are accomplished.

7. Selects, trains, and supervises Quality Engineering personnel to guarantee effectiveness and the personal growth and satisfaction of his employees.

8. Confers with Division (Plant) Quality Control Manager in the execution of the Corporate and Division Quality plan.

9. Provides technical guidance and works in close liaison with Sales and Engineering Departments on all group projects, and with Purchasing in connection with materials, supplies, equipment and services purchased.

10. Maintain department within budget.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. BS College graduate or equivalent experience.

2. Knowledge of the investment casting process and basic Q.C. theory.

3. Experience or education in supervisory techniques.

4. Three to five years experience in PCC and/or other related investment casting operation in the Quality Engineering field.

5. Leadership abilities.

6. Excellent communicator and capable of interacting with different levels of the organization.

7. Objective minded to evaluate people and problems.

This position requires use of information or access to production processes subject to national security controls under U.S. export control laws and regulations (including, but not limited to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the Export Administration Regulations (EAR)). To comply with those regulations, this position may require applicants to be U.S. Persons (i.e., U.S. citizens, U.S. lawful permanent residents, protected individuals as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)), or eligible to obtain the required export authorizations from the U.S. Department of State or the U.S. Department of Commerce.
