Job Description:

  • Manage a team of production Quality Engineers, technicians and QC inspectors to ensure Focused Factory objectives are met. The production QE team is responsible for reviewing quality data to identifying areas of concern and drive for corrective action to ensure the highest quality products are produced.
  • Lead the Advanced Quality Engineering organization and support new product development, driving for success for all key performance parameters. The AQE team is responsible for providing DfQ feedback, developing PFMEAs and Control Plans, completing capability analyses, driving yield improvement etc. for new products.
  • Support customer investigations utilizing the CAPA to identify root cause and corrective action.
  • Drive continuous improvement and problem-solving efforts to improve quality, reduce waste and implement process improvements utilizing the Harris Business Excellence quality tools.
    • Defines and specifies the implementation of standards, methods and procedures for managing quality.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related discipline with 10+ years of  prior related experience or Master’s degree in an engineering or related discipline and 8+years of prior related experience.
  • 3-5 years of experience in successfully managing a quality or technical team within manufacturing.
  • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt or Green Belt.
  • 3-5 years of experience in successfully managing a quality or technical  team within manufacturing.

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Experience with quality improvement tools and techniques (Lean /Six Sigma, Statistical Process Control, Failure Mode & Effects Analysis, etc.)
  • Strong written and oral communication, presentation and team engagement skills.
  • Highly collaborative style, capable of working across multiple functional areas to drive results.
  • RF/Radio or related communications experience.
