Quality Engineer

This is a highly visible role where you’ll own quality initiatives, influence cross-functional teams, and drive measurable business impact.
What You’ll Do
- Own quality performance by partnering with operations, suppliers, and customers to resolve issues and ensure consistent product excellence
- Lead supplier quality efforts—driving issue resolution, improving communication, and ensuring materials meet DuPont standards
- Investigate and resolve quality incidents, leading root cause analysis and corrective actions to prevent recurrence
- Support metrology and inspection processes, ensuring accuracy and reliability in measurement systems
- Drive data-based improvements through analysis, metrics tracking, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Implement Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and maintain robust quality control processes
- Lead or contribute to RCCA investigations to mitigate risks across customer, supplier, and internal processes
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, AS9100, AS13100, NADCAP, and other regulatory requirements
- Partner on engineering changes, supporting ECN reviews and product documentation updates
- Support audit readiness and execution, including internal, supplier, customer, and third-party audits
What You Bring
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum 3+ years of quality engineering experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience working within ISO9001, TS16949, or AS9100 quality management systems
- Strong knowledge of:
- Blueprint reading
- Inspection methods and metrology
- GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing)
- APQP, PFMEA, and Control Plans
- Proven ability to analyze data, solve problems, and drive process improvements
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with AS13100 and NADCAP
- Six Sigma certification (preferred)
- Exposure to aerospace programs (e.g., Pratt & Whitney, Safran, Collins Aerospace)
- ASQ Quality Engineer certification (or willingness to obtain)
