  • Support the entire PCNA Technical and Engineering staff in topics of vehicle diagnostics and data collection.  Interface with the diagnostics teams at PAG and the R&D Responsible Engineers in all data and diagnostics issues in order to advance the knowledge and investigation capabilities within PCNA.
  • Manage PCNA’s Drive Recorder and Data Collection program in support of the entire Quality Engineering and Technical Support organizations.  Interface with the appropriate PAG organizations to secure and maintain data collection equipment and testing software, and for setting up the equipment for use in specific applications.
  • Monitor market quality by analyzing Warranty Claims, Porsche Quality Information System, Technical Support tickets, Field reports, and other sources of customer product quality complaints.
  • Root cause analysis of product quality issues to accelerate overall product improvement process.
  • Work with PAG quality organizations to address product quality Issues and contribute to monthly PAG / PCNA quality report.
  • Support Technical Hotline / Field Technical Managers on technical issues by adding new problems to the known issues lists and assisting on critical cases.
  • Develop field information and field-fixes as Advanced Technical Information bulletins to implement short and long term service solutions and to keep dealer technicians up to date on known issues.  
  • Maintain and improve technical expertise to be able to understand current and future vehicle technologies.


  • Minimum 4-yeardegree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or technical-based higher education degree and equivalent experience in automotive technology and diagnostics.
  • Minimum of 5 years of work experience in the automotive field in a Mechanical/Electrical Engineering type position or similar
  • Experience with / in-depth knowledge of the specific area of responsibility (drivetrain) and experience with associated diagnostic tools to analyze problems in the specific area
  • Experience with market analysis and statistical evaluations.
  • Strong knowledge of automotive engineering and Porsche vehicle knowledge specifically
  • Automotive retail and/or customer experience a plus
  • Fluent German a strong asset and is preferred
  • Ability to understand and work with complex technologies and analyze how they impact vehicle design
