Job Description

Maxar is currently seeking a Quality Engineer to join our Robotics division in Pasadena, CA. Our robotics organization builds advanced robotic and servicing systems for space, nuclear, military, agriculture and infrastructure applications. Our robotics are proven on multiple space platforms, including Mars landers and rovers.

Responsibilities:

ISO AS 9100 auditing
Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) activities
Lead and/or assist personnel in systematic Root Cause Analysis activities
Timely reporting to Quality Management of internal Non-Conformance and Corrective Action status
Reviews, verifies, and closes out Corrective Actions while verifying effectiveness
Maintains Non-Conformance database
Initiate preventive actions and evaluate effectiveness
Assists Program Management and Quality personnel with solving program related quality issues/processes
Address Quality/Non-Conformance trends and concerns to Quality Management as necessary
AS9100 Internal/External audit support
Conduct frequent floor audits to ensure processes are maintained properly
Responsible for coordinating and scheduling customer system / product / process audits and ensures the necessary resources are available to complete.

Minimum Requirements:

Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident
Bachelor’s degree in related area. Four additional years of experience may be substituted for a degree
Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
Experience of working with AS (9100) & ISO quality standards requirements
Ability to accommodate limited travel to perform source inspection at suppliers’ facilities
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds to lift, carry and move critical space hardware
