Growing industrial manufacturer is looking for a quality engineer to add to their team.

Through sound quality engineering principles, operating controls, policies and procedures,  directly manage the Quality and Environmental Management Systems (EQMS) based on latest versions of ISO 9001, ISO/TS 16949 and ISO 14001 Standards. Quality Engineer will also be responsible for supporting the quality programs throughout the organization, utilizing good manufacturing and lean principles by  performing  the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responslbllltles include the following:

 Serve as a back-up to Quality Assurance Manager as the Management Representative, Responsible for data collection of actual performance against company's set goals and objectives,

Conducts annual Customer Satisfaction Survey, in collaboration with Customer Service dept. and keep records of customer's scorecards, supplier ratings and/or evaluations including providing response on areas that needs Improvement,

Update and/or maintain Safety Data Sheets documents including master lists. This task also Includes annual review against current inventory of chemicals, materials, etc. and generation  of required HMIS labels for secondary containers,

Creates new or updates any controlled EQMS documents as listed of Masterllst according to Document and Data Control procedure

Conducts new quallficatlons and existing vendor re-certifications for major materials, components and/or outsourced processes, if any.

Actively participates in problem resolution on product, process and system nonconformances, including maintenance of records

Manages and schedules Internal  and external  calibration  program  for testing and measuring

equipment, including maintenance of records

Maintains all required records per applicable standards (ISO 9001, ISO/TS 16949 and/or ISO 14001} and closely works with other depts. or functions who are responsible for such records,

Conducts  as scheduled  internal  system, process  and product  audits based on  ISO 9001, ISO/TS

0         16949 and ISO 14001standards or coordinates with 2nd party auditors for annual surveillance audits and re-certifications (every 3 yrs.). This includes planning & scheduling (with QA Manager), documentation and issuance of audit results (summary and audit findings, if any) and conduct if required, follow-up for deficient areas or processes found.

Conduct new employee training or orientation on  Quality & Environmental Management systems,

Assures adherence to established policies, procedures and work rules including safety, security and housekeeping and

Performs other activities or functions, as assigned.

Educational Requirements

Bachelor's degree {B.S.) in an Engineering discipline or equivalent,

Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) or other quality certification is preferable.

Experience Requirements


Minimum of three (3) years of quality engineeringexperience in a manufacturingenvironment including designcontrols, product/process validation and technical problem solving.

Must have thorough knowledge, understanding and experience of Implementing the latest 1509001, ISO/TS 16949 and 150 14001standards. Training certifications are required.

Experience and knowledge In Lean principles Is required or Six Sigma methodology is preferred. lndfvidual must be hands-on, results oriented, a team player, excellent communicator and a change agent.

Must be able to follow established policies and procedures, create new procedures and comply with regulatory requirements.

Computer skills are needed with experience of Microsoft (MS) Office Suite products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, etc.)

Ability  to  recognize  problems,  recommend  and  implement  solutions.  Experience  with  Cause &

Effect Diagram/ Fishbone Diagram, 5 Why's and other root cause analysis tools is preferred. Requires strong written, oral, interpersonal and group communications skills.
