As the Quality Engineer, you will be tasked with supporting the quality efforts of the organization and ensuring standards and policies are adhered to and maintained.
In this varied role, you will undertake quality audits and swiftly implement corrective and preventative actions where standards are not met.
Responsible for defining the quality baseline, you will ensure that customers’ requirements and our client’s quality standards are met. You will achieve this through the systematic review of specifications, drawings and manufacturing processes.
In order to meet customers’ requirements and specifications, you will interpret their quality guidelines and translate them into workable quality instructions and procedures that can be followed by internal teams.
Interested? If so, you must have:
- At least five years’ experience in a quality and/or manufacturing environment, ideally gained within the aerospace industry
- Experience of machined metal products
- A thorough working knowledge of ISO standards, including AS9100 requirements
- Knowledge of GD&T and inspection processes
- Proficiency in MS Office
- A Bachelor’s degree in an engineering or scientific discipline
Detail-oriented and results-focused, as the Quality Engineer you will also need excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Knowledge of Nadcap, heat treat and metallurgy processes would be beneficial to your application. Experience with Six Sigma, closed loop CAPAs, PFMEA and Continuous Improvement would also be advantageous.
