Oversee and manage Quality Control Program (QCP) by identifying potential actual problem areas and instituting corrective actions in operational support of the government Agency’s logistics operations center activities and related functions.
Primary location in the National Capitol Region, with satellite sites across the US and OCONUS.
Responsible for ensuring program and service meets the established standards of quality including reliability, usability and performance.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Develops QA program
Formulates and finalize comprehensive quality assurance policies and procedures covering all services with approval by the Contracting Officer or designated representative
Interpret, implement and evaluate adequacy of quality assurance standards
Review the implementation and efficiency of quality and inspection systems
Plan, conduct and monitor testing and inspection of materials, services and products to ensure finished product quality
Document internal audits and other quality assurance activities
Collect and compile statistical quality data
Analyze data to identify areas for improvement in the quality system
Prepare reports to communicate outcomes of quality activities
Identify training needs and organize training interventions to meet quality standards
Coordinate and support on-site audits conducted by external providers
Evaluate audit findings and implement appropriate corrective actions
Monitor risk management activities
Responsible for document management systems
Assure ongoing compliance with quality and industry regulatory requirements
Administers inspection and testing processes/plans
Improves and monitors inspection processes
Interfaces with team members, team leads, and customer (if/when needed); coaches the team
Issues corrective action reports
Develop a quality control methodology for identifying deficiencies in the quality of service performed for the Agency before the level of performance becomes unacceptable and address processes for corrective actions without dependence on supported Agency direction.
Attend customer quality control / management meetings and present quality control reports; gather feedback and coordinate quality control plans.
Must be a US Citizen
Must have final adjudicated TS/SCI clearance
Must be an expert in DoD supply principles and processes
Must be familiar with current methods and techniques being applied to the measurement of the quality of performance in a logistics environment
Must have at least 2 yrs supervising quality control functions in an activity involved in the receipt, storage, issue and care of Government supplies and equipment
Must have at least 10 years QA related work experience and a high school diploma or 5 years QA related work experience and a relevant AssociateDegree or 2 years QA related experience and a relevant Bachelor’s degree
