Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control Orlando, FL is seeking a Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer to develop Quality standards, methods, work instructions and procedures for the inspection of manufactured products.
Other duties include (1) maintains work instructions for inspection personnel, (2) determines location and frequency of inspection steps throughout the manufacturing process to ensure quality products are delivered to the customer, (3) supports the Performance Management Teams with quality data on yields, rework, scrap and non-conformance aging, (4) interfaces with production, engineering, program management as well as DCMA customer, and (5) conducts audits to ensure compliance to AS9100 as well as internal requirements.

Quality Engineers at Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control act as an integrated member of the design and production teams developing and reviewing quality standards, methods, work instructions and procedures for the inspection of manufactured and procured products.
To ensure our customer gets the highest level of Quality, our Quality Engineers review documentation related to internal and external manufacturing processes to ensure requirements are fulfilled.

Technical Engineering degree
Ability to obtain a security clearance
Ability to proactively review, interpret and apply specifications to determine compliance with requirements
Effective interpersonal skills, including team building and collaboration
Ability to analyze and resolve process issues
Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, contracts and performance metrics
Experience interpreting mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, product/performance specifications and other systems integration technical data
Experience in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance (GD&T) for all and advanced for mechanical engineering
Experience in production floor level Quality support for processes and procedures for mechanical fabrication, machining and assembly
Demonstrated basic understanding of AS9100 audit techniques
Must be able to work independently with minimal direct supervision in a fast paced environment
Experience developing and applying quality test and inspection methods
Corrective / preventive action planning and execution experience
Demonstrated ability to use causal analysis tools to analyze and resolve technical / process issues
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Proficient skill level with Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, etc.
Experience in disposition of non-conforming products, including Material Review Board experience
Experience in establishing performance metrics for identifying process improvement
ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) and / or Certified Quality Improvement Associate (CQIA)
Experience with use of inspection gages and measuring equipment
Experience working effectively in a Matrix Management environment
Experience working with Government customers
Lean / Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification.
Strong knowledge of Industry recognized quality systems such as International (ISO), aerospace (AS), and FAA regulations
