VISION: Leadership team member, setting quality strategy and managing the quality system. Company investments in infrastructure on processes, training, and capital equipment have improved productivity, broadened technical capabilities, and attracted global customers. Hiring to fill position vacated by promotion.

OPPORTUNITY:Report to corporate Director of Quality, partner across total company, and lead a group of 6-8. This is a multi-shift precision manufacturing operation with 4-8 sophisticated processes to meet the requirements of Fortune 500 OEM clients. Be responsible for establishing a Quality Management System (QMS) system that reflects changes and evolution of the business. Champion continuous improvement efforts and defect reduction initiatives while initiating and implementing quality improvement activities to raise the performance of product lines. Educate and train employees as to their impact in the quality management system.

Establish and implement metrics (process capability, control charts, measurement quality) for data collection, monitoring system effectiveness and trending and predictability, and, enable managers to make sound product quality decisions. Implement root-cause analysis and other problem solving activities to identify effective corrective actions and process improvements. Analyze customers’ product specifications to establish efficient, cost-effective requirements for ease of manufacture and reproducibility. Develop quality planning and process certification tools and methods for all product lines.

REQUIREMENTS: BS required in Engineering, Mathematics, or quality equivalent. CQE or CQM ideal. Seeking 10+ years’ experience in quality systems implementation and management with strong experience in an ISO9001 setting with Six Sigma processes. Must have strong SPC knowledge and computer skills. Precision manufacturing (e.g. CNC machining, ceramics, composites) background ideal.

REWARD: $110,000 to $130,000 plus 10-15% bonus and excellent benefits.
